Aurelia

Home of the folk of the God of Eternity

Aurelia is the realm in the clouds. A white-gold city and an equally radiant palace, called Golden Crest, rest upon the branches of the Sky Tree — the god of eternity. Its people bathe in the light of its leaves; it is the source of their vibrant lives. And the tree, their god, pulses with them.The realm is made of many islands — a continent floating above the clouds. There, the golden city gleams. The Crest is inseparably entwined with the white branches of the Tree. Just as inseparably, the Flock of Aurelia is bound to it. A true symbiosis — not only political, but spiritual.

Draemoria

Home of the folk of the God of Transcience

Draemoria lies beneath the clouds, veiled in mist. It is the realm of the Earth Tree. Its dark roots dig deep into the soil — and into the hearts of its people.Its pulse is as dark as its leaves, and the people of Draemoria wear its shadow like a second skin. The palace, Shadow Crest, is one with the Earth Tree. Its branches reach into every hall and every thought of the Flock who calls this place home.Beneath the mist, life is harder. Where Aurelia shines with gold and light, here it's shadow and obsidian.
Though separated from Aurelia, Draemoria remembers the old ties… and the wounds they left behind.

The Flock

Both Aurelia and Draemoria are ruled by the court, known as the Flock. The Flock consists of various clans that all belong to each other.These lineages are of noble blood, each bound to either the Earth Tree or the Sky Tree.Though the Flocks of Aurelia and Draemoria were once united, they are now divided — each guarding their own truths and wounds.

The Patrons

The head of a Flock holds the title of Patron or Patroness. The Flock is more than royalty. They and their heir embody the ideals of their people. Their decisions shape not just the future of their realm, but the health of the Trees themselves.Seraphia is the Patroness of Aurelia. The twins Meria and Matrik together form the head of Draemoria's Flock.

Wingbearer

The Wingbearer is the firstborn of a Patron or Patroness — and thus, the rightful heir.This title carries the full weight of the realm’s future.From a young age, the Wingbearer is raised to carry the legacy of their realm: to guide, to protect, and to embody the bond between their people and the Tree they serve.They are trained in diplomacy, history, and ceremony, with every step preparing them for the feathered mantle they are fated to inherit.You play this role in the scenarios.

The Seeds

Once every thousand years, the Sky Tree and the Earth Tree each produce a single Seed. A phenomenon so rare that entire generations pass without witnessing it. These Seeds are objects of legend. Hope and fear at the same time.The Seed of the Sky Tree is said to hold sacred healing power. Born from light, it is believed to restore life, purify corruption, heal diseases and even to clean one's soul. It is considered a divine gift, a symbol of renewal and life itself.The Seed of the Earth Tree, however, tells a darker tale. Formed in shadow and dark as onyx, it is feared to bring decay, to corrupt and unravel even the strongest bonds. Some say it grants power through destruction, while others claim it is nothing but a curse.

The Veilborn

The Veilborn, rebels cloaked in legacy and shadow. Once scorned as lesser blood of the Draemorian Flock, they rose from mist-covered ruins and broken banners, claiming the right to rule Draemoria anew. Their failed ambush targeting the Draemorian heirs, marked them as traitors, yet to some, they are freedom’s last breath.The clan lives hidden in the misty forests of Draemoria, far from the Earth Tree and the influence of the Patrons.

Phoenix Guard and Crow Guard

Each Wingbearer is protected by a devoted order of elite knights, the Phoenix Guard in Aurelia, and the Crow Guard in Draemoria. These guards are not only soldiers, they are chosen for unwavering loyalty, exceptional skill, and their willingness to give their lives for their heir.

Born with Wings

Being born in a Flock gifts you with the special ability to transform into a bird. The plumage of each bird is as individual as the soul and the heart itself.

Twin Patrons Meria and Matrik

The twins Meria and Matrik Morian both rule over the Draemorian Flock. Meria's first son, Thalric, is Draemoria's Wingbearer.Meria rarely smiles, she is stern, attentive, and speaks only when necessary. Matrik is the only person she fully trusts. She is talented with daggers, since she worked as an agent when she was still a Wingbearer.Matrik is known for his smile, which never seems entirely genuine. He presents himself as secretive, with a sharp tongue and is considered deceitful.

Lunara Morian

Lunara is Matrik's only daughter, her mother having perished in the Veilborn uprising, and he protects her as his most precious possession. She is shy, calm and fragile. Lunara has been blind since birth and cares for birds. Only Vadrian, Meria's third son, is as close to her as a big brother.

Marie Nightingale

Marie is Knight Gilbert's younger sister and the only person who is allowed to call him ‘Gilly’. She is clumsy, loves nature and painting. Gilbert feels responsible for her since their mother died during her birth, and she may be the only reason he doesn't drown his life completely in rum.There are rumours that Marie is interested in a Draemorian envoy, which... worries Gilbert.
